Moritz Schmidt studied law at the University of Greifswald with a focus on commercial law, including antitrust, competition and corporate law. After completing his first state examination, he worked for an international commercial law firm in Berlin in the areas of antitrust law and civil procedure law.

Moritz Schmidt completed his legal traineeship in the district of the Kammergericht Berlin in Berlin and Hamburg. At the beginning of his career, Moritz Schmidt worked in Hamburg for an international commercial law firm in the areas of civil procedure law and dispute resolution. In April 2020, Moritz Schmidt has joined Leinemann Partner's Berlin office.

He advises Leinemann Partner's clients primarily on questions relating to public procurement law and private construction law. In public procurement law he supports public clients in the implementation of procurement projects in the IT sector and represents both bidders and clients in review and complaint procedures. The focus of advice in construction law constitutes the advising of construction companies during construction as well as enforcing claims during and after the completion of construction projects.

Moritz Schmidt is involved in the publication of various articles and regularly publishes articles in procurement media.

Moritz Schmidt is a member of the Berlin Bar Association.
