Igor Zarva studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg, specialising in corporate law, including a period in the Moscow office of an international commercial law firm. During his legal clerkship he worked for an international commercial law firm in New York. Igor Zarva completed his legal clerkship in September 2015 with the second state examination.At the beginning of his professional career, Igor Zarva joined Allianz AG, the largest German insurance group, in Hamburg in 2016, where he advised a department on major claims settlements in the private and commercial building sector as a consultant, primarily in insurance law.
Parallel to this work, Igor Zarva successfully completed a master's degree (LL.M.) in insurance law at the University of Hamburg.
In 2019, Igor Zarva has joined Leinemann Partner’s Berlin office, advising our clients especially on private construction law. He also has expertise in the field of insurance law, in particular in construction, property and liability insurance law.
Igor Zarva is a member of the Berlin Bar Association and speaks both English and Russian fluently.
