Clarissa Sophie Busato studied law at the Universities of Heidelberg, Freiburg im Breisgau and Sydney, where she completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a specialisation in international environmental and commercial law.

During her legal clerkship, Clarissa Sophie Busato worked at a German commercial law firm in Brussels. As a research assistant in the legal unit of an international consulting firm in Düsseldorf, she specialised in public procurement law.

Clarissa Sophie Busato has been part of the Cologne office of Leinemann Partner Rechtsanwälte since 2020, focusing primarily on public procurement and grant law. Her practice includes comprehensive support of procurement procedures for both contracting authorities and bidders. She also represents clients in procurement review proceedings. Her advisory work is particularly focused on the healthcare, IT, and services sectors as well as construction.

In addition, she advises on procedural law and private construction law.

Clarissa Sophie Busato is a certified specialist lawyer for public procurement law and regularly publishes articles on the subject. The Handelsblatt has recognized her as "One´s to Watch" in public law.

She is a member of the Cologne Bar Association.
